Follow on Google News | Kindle Publishing Cooperative Wrangles 99 New Readers In Five DaysThe first milestone at Blue Falcon Press -- we've got a readership that can go nowhere now but up.
Don Templeton was a contract writer for Gold Eagle Books back before 911. He wrote four novels in The Executioner series. He is resurrecting the storylines of those four novels reclothed with new characters and all new writing. After 911, Don spent 13 years inside military special operations forces. He joined the Army to research elite soldiers and what their lives were like, in peace time and at war, so he could write these kinds of characters from having lived the life of one. Don says, "If a writer isn't willing to join the Army and go to war in order to get the story, then she isn't a writer. Just a poser." Currently, Blue Falcon Press is just Don and a senior editor, his composition teacher from community college. "Clearly," Don says. "The results of our first readership drives illustrates that my strengths are writing jaw-dropping action scenes, not guerrilla marketing. I'm not Seth Godin." While sorely lacking in the marketing department, Don more than makes up for in the ability to grab a reader by the throat and take that reader on the most horrific thrill ride imaginable. "I've got a couple evangelists already somewhere in that 99," Don says. "I can feel it." All it takes is a few evangelists who know how to tweet and Facebook and all that social media stuff Don personally detests to put GREEN MAJIK and Blue Falcon Press on the map, fully exposed in the public psyche. Two installments of four are currently available in the Kindle Store at Amazon.com. Don writes novels in four cliffhanger chunks. It gives his readers a stake in the outcome -- readers can actually email Don as he writes the current adventure and fire away with their hopes and dreams for the story. Who knows? Maybe your idea will change the direction of the current adventure. Don Templeton is available for interviews. End
