Credihealth celebrates World Environment Day (WED) 2015 on Social Media

GURGAON, India - June 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Credihealth.com is running a campaign promoting the protection of the environment this World Environment Day which falls on 5^th June, 2015. The 2015 theme for World Environment Day (also known as WED) is sustainable consumption and production. Every year, on the 5^th of July, a theme-driven WED is celebrated with zest across the world. A United Nations initiative, not only does WED aim to spread awareness, it also encourages protection of the environment.

The eco-friendly campaign is spread across social media giants like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. Through this initiative Credihealth strives to create more awareness and engage young people in following simple tips in a day that will help preserve the environment for generations ahead.

First one being – Save water. Water supply is scarce, in fact, some countries are finding it hard to get drinking water for its citizen. Water is a luxury we can’t afford to waste. People around the world need to understand this and find ways to conserve water in their daily lives. Every drop counts.

Second, plant a tree. If you’re not planting a tree, then find other ways to conserve trees. Don’t waste paper. Avoid burning of paper, believe in recycling. Small initiatives will go a long way. Teach your family and friends to do the same.

Third, save electricity. A huge percentage of people in India alone, do not receive electricity. Be sure to switch off the any electricity plug point while leaving a room. Believe in saving electricity and reducing your bill –a whole lot!

Fourth, ban the use of plastic bags. These are neither recyclable, not degradable, making them harmful for the environment. There are several animals that ingest plastic and end up dying due to their indigestible nature.

Lastly, ride a bike, whenever possible.   This is be your initiative to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide among other harmful pollutants into the air. If your destination is too far away, carpool instead.

There are 7 billion people and only one planet. It is our responsibility to treat it right and protect it.
