Follow on Google News | Talley Farms Fresh Harvest Now Offering “Junior Boxes”Increasing the opportunity for more families to enjoy local farm fresh produce
By: Talley Farms Fresh Harvest According to Fresh Harvest manager Andrea Chavez, “The Junior boxes are an ideal option for individuals or smaller households that don’t eat as much produce as our regular size boxes provide.” Talley Farms Fresh Harvest, a Community Supported Agriculture program (CSA), was established in June 2012 when the Talley Family decided to grow a larger variety of specialty vegetables and sell their produce directly to local households. Subscriber members can pick up, or have delivered to their home, a box of seasonal produce. Currently, there are over fifty pick-up locations throughout San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara Counties, with Junior boxes available for pick up at many of these locations. Junior boxes can also be shipped anywhere in California and delivered directly to your door. “With the addition of Junior Boxes, we hope to introduce more people to the variety and nutritional benefits of fresh, local and in many cases, organically grown produce,” said Chavez, adding, “Our goal with the Fresh Harvest program is to get people to eat more produce for better health by providing an exceptional box full of fresh, good tasting locally grown fruits and vegetables.” Talley Farms was established in Arroyo Grande in 1948 by Oliver Talley, and is still owned and operated by the second, third and even fourth generations of the family. Information on how to sign up for delivery is available at TalleyFarmsFreshHarvest.com. End
