Showcase at Computex 2015 SD4.0, USB-C and Lightning

MICRODIA Showcases Memory Solutions for SD4.0, Type-C and Lightning at COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2015

SAN JOSE, Calif. - June 2, 2015 - PRLog -- USA, 22 May 2015 – MICRODIA Ltd (MICRODIA), a world leader in flash memory technologies, showcases its state-of-art data and comprehensive storage solutions at the COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2015 trade show, 2 - 6 June 2015 at Booth #N1214.

Latest SD4.0 SDXC 512GB Flash Memory Cards
The XTRA ELITE™SD4.0 Flash Memory Card is 30 times faster than current flash memory cards. With an additional row of pins (a signature feature of SD4.0), it is capable of a read/write speed up to a blazing 300MBps.

Professional photographers and videographers can simultaneously capture and load images and footage at phenomenal speeds. The card handles 4K- and 5K-resolution videos and images with equal aplomb. Up to 6,656 RAW images (at 22MP) or 1,920 hours of MPEG-4 videos at 30fps can be stored on a 512GB SDXC flash memory card.

World’s First SD4.0 Card Reader with a USB3.0 Connector
The FlashMover™ SD4.0 Card Reader is the world’s first SD4.0 card reader with a USB3.0 connector. Being fully compatible with the SD4.0 specification, it serves as the best companion of the XTRA ELITE™ SD4.0 Flash Memory Card. Taking full advantage of the SD4.0 specification, the read/write speeds of the FlashMover™ blaze through to highest of 312MBps. Colossal 4K-resolution videos and high-definition images can be transferred in seconds. MICRODIA’s proprietary technology, EPM (Enhanced Processing Management) and the SD4.0 specification provide a leading edge to those who require ultra high speed, efficiency and effectiveness.

OTG USB Type-C Card Reader
MICRODIA showcases its new Micro USB Type-C OTG Card Reader. It is a card reader incorporating the new USB standard for its micro USB connector. Reversible connectors eliminate the need to verify if the user is plugging in the micro USB connector the right-way up. The OTG FDR can read microSDXC cards up to 512GB and is able to transfer data at up to 10Gbps.

At one end, the USB-C features the current standard USB interface but adds a twist. There is a microSD card slot above the USB port enabling the user to employ the card reader function of this tiny OTG product. With the microSD permanently left in the slot, the USB-C becomes a flash drive. The opposite end, incorporates the new USB Type-C standard which fits into the port of the new MacBook 2015, the Chromebook Pixel 2 and the upcoming Dell Venue 11 Pro.

OTG Lightning USB Flash Drive with Data Encryption
MICRODIA’s new Lightning adapter is especially built to provide dual security for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+. During upload or download of data via the Lightning Adapter, it will scramble data using 256-bit encryption and render the folder contents invisible. The Lightning Adapter provides further data protection, attributable to the absence of any login system on the hardware. In other words, even if the adapter itself is lost, user data remains safe against unauthorised access. All that the unauthorised users will be able to see is a blank folder, as all content will remain invisible.

The Lightning Adapter can also be used as a normal USB flash drive. A switch on the adapter toggles the Adapter between secure data upload and flash memory device. Flash memory capacity is available from 64GB to 256GB.
