KENT, Wash. - June 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Seametrics has announced the launch of the jWAVE, it's first ultrasonic flow meter that captures accurate and reliable flow readings with a mobile device, wherever a flow or volume measurement is needed.  The addition will markedly broaden our scope of serviceable markets in the industrial, municipal, and agricultural sectors.

The jWAVE Flow Meter solution starts with the jWAVE App (downloadable from the app store) and works on both iOS and Android devices. The companion jWAVE Sensor is a compact, clamp-on ultrasonic transducer device that wirelessly transmits flow measurements. With a programmable controller, the output signal can be fed direct, with no other conditioning required.

It's portability allows for easy transport in the field. Simply bring the rechargeable clamp-on sensor in its lightweight, weatherproof case, along with a tablet or smartphone (iOS or Android) to the site. Bluetooth connectivity replaces wires, and the jWAVE App guides you through your application setup. The convenient Cam Cleat allows mounting on any pipe in seconds with no cumbersome clamps required. Bi-directional readings are transmitted to your mobile device for display, and your location’s settings are stored in the jWAVE App, ready for reuse. When finished, simply release the cleats and take the compact sensor on to your next location.

It boasts accuracy of 1 - 2% of reading, fits pipe sizes from 3"- 20", is CE and FCC approved, metric or imperial measurement readings, automatic app updates, 8+ hour battery life, and low installation cost with no down time required.  Applications include HVAC & energy system audits, check system meters, pump verification, boiler testing, leak detection, filter sizing, ultrapure water measurement, fuel oil metering, condensate measurement, clean in place evaluation, fire system testing, and hydraulic system testing.
