Jennifer May, Finalist in Delaware Valley HR Person of the Year
The Thompson Organization Human Resources Manager Jennifer May was honored as a finalist for the 2015 Delaware Valley Human Resources Person of the Year Award.
May was nominated for her role in not only starting a human resources department at The Thompson Organization over 15 years ago, but also managing the growth and diversity that has ensued while maintaining a very hands-on and empathetic approach. With her assistance, the company has doubled the number of employees. She also re-vamped the employee benefits package, taking care to offer improvements without significant increases to the company or to the employees.
As one of eleven finalists overall and one of four in the medium-size company category, Jennifer was honored on Thursday evening, May 21st, at the Vie in Philadelphia. Over 400 people were in attendance.
In addition to her role at Thompson, Jennifer is an Advocacy Team Member for National SHRM. She is also Vice President of the Bux-Mont HR Association and mentors and educates other members. May resides in Perkasie with her husband Brian and son Anthony.
