Aware that this Tall Ship is a reproduction of the original 18century vessel. An engaging endeavor began 20 years ago to assemble a sea-faring replica and reputed to be the largest most authentic Tall Ship reconstructed.  And now, its maiden voyage, a transatlantic soujourn celebrating Lafayette and French alliance.

A majestic effort girded with exceptional stewardship, the Hermione Voyage also presents forthwith Mission Statement:
Demonstrating historical essence.
Symbolizing the historical ties between the U.S and France.
Creating a lasting educational legacy.
Celebrating impeccable craftsmanship.

Land ho!  Cheering the Hermione Voyage.
Following sea trials and training, the Hermione set sail for this historic voyage in April, from the mouth of the River Charente, in Port des Barques, where the Marquis Lafayette boarded March 1780.
Making Landfall in Yorktown, VA and will travel up the Eastern Seaboard visiting Ports significant to the Revolution.  A captain's log of activities is schedule with cultural events, exhibitions and educational programs that celebrate the Hermoine Voyage.

The historic voyage then will move up the coast to Old Town Alexandria Harbor and Mt. Vernon, then sail on to visit ports of Annapolis, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Newport and then Halifax before the return journey to France.
