INDIANAPOLIS - May 29, 2015 - PRLog -- American College of Education, (http://www.ace.edu/) a leading provider of online graduate degrees for educators, is now offering two new programs for students seeking a Master of Education in Integrated Curriculum: Special Education and in Early Childhood Education.

“After several years of preparation and curriculum planning, I am excited to finally announce these two degrees are now available,” said Dr. Lee Tincher, academic dean of American College of Education. “We know our nation’s educators need access to programs in these fields. Technology has changed the way students engage in learning and we are extremely pleased to offer new options to meet that need.”

American College of Education’s Special Education concentration prepares students to enhance the knowledge and skills needed to work collaboratively with diverse learners. The Special Education track focuses on the legal and ethical laws, policies, issues and strategies, to assist students in accessing the general curriculum. It also emphasizes the necessary accommodations it takes to meet the needs of students with exceptionalities.

“One of the founding principles at American College of Education is to improve the quality of education throughout the world. These additional programs are another way we can make a difference for young learners,” said Dr. Tincher. “We continue to expand our course availability as we address the changing needs of teachers who are empowering the next generation of students.”

American College of Education’s Early Childhood Education program focuses upon building the knowledge and skills necessary to be an effective provider for young children. By selecting effective tools for developing minds engaged in learning experiences, we can ultimately influence future educational opportunities. The program is based on research findings, which establish the guidelines for creating viable environments. We realize a partnership between standards and strategies, influenced by development stages, provides a dynamic framework for understanding how assessment drives instruction for young children.

Both programs are sequenced to provide educators with foundational knowledge and skills, which will allow individuals to compete in the ever-changing and growing global, digital society.

“We understand teachers are looking to improve classroom instruction and are very much in need of these programs, and we are happy to finally offer them at a competitive price that effectively won’t send educators into debt,” stated Dr. Shawntel Landry, provost and interim president for American College of Education.

American College of Education offers master’s degree tuition for $215 per credit hour. Details on the M.Ed. in Integrated Curriculum: Special Education and M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education are listed on the college’s website under academics (http://www.ace.edu/academics/master-of-education).
