Shakopee Toastmasters Host Open House For Curious Public

Event on June 9 will help visitors learn more about the Shakopee Toastmasters club

SHAKOPEE, Minn. - May 29, 2015 - PRLog -- SHAKOPEE, Minn.  (May 29, 2015) —Shakopee Toastmasters invites residents to its open house to meet members and experience a Toastmasters meeting. Toastmasters’ members will talk about the importance of communication skills for today’s professional and share what they’ve gained through Toastmasters.

“Shakopee Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive environment where members have the opportunity to develop their communication and leadership skills,” says Clinton Hunt, who will serve as Toastmaster for the evening. This is your chance to become the speaker you’ve always wanted to be.

After a short social time with refreshments, members and guests will enjoy a regular Toastmasters meeting that will include prepared speeches, impromptu speeches and evaluations.

Club President, Gary Elfert, will be the Table Topics Master. “Table Topics are one of my favorite parts of the meeting,” says Elfert. “This is where members are randomly selected to speak for one to two minutes. It helps you think and speak clearly on your feet.”
