Additionally, one of AAOC’s three annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s events will be held at Angel Stadium on November 14. “Our goal is to elevate awareness of Alzheimer’s disease so we can reach more Orange County families in need of free resources to help care for their loved ones,” said Jim McAleer, CEO and president of AAOC. “Partnering with a high-profile organization like the Angels elevates our visibility and allows us to serve more families, support more caregivers and raise critical funds to help us get closer to a world without Alzheimer’s.” Locally the fourth-leading cause of death, Alzheimer’s currently cannot be prevented, slowed or cured and is greatly under diagnosed.
