Pirate High Seas Adventure Story

In  “A Flag for the Flying Dragon”  a new crew member has a problem fitting in. Crew members worry about the new person on board the Flying Dragon frigate taking over their duties. It’s time for Captain No Beard to prove to the crew his leadership and fairness. This book provides valuable life lessons in addition to a great story-line.

Captain No Beard demonstrates to his crew that good leadership requires hard work. The moral lessons are inner-woven into an exciting story. The book teaches the rewards of getting along with others, and how leadership and a proper symbol can bring people together.

Roman’s  “Captain No Beard”  series was inspired by her son Alexander and his cousin Hallie. Young  Alexander was sitting on his bed with his three stuffed animals and his cousin Hallie. His creative imagination zooms to new heights. Alexander now is Captain No Beard and cousin Hallie is his First Mate. Alexander’s stuffed animals become Linus the lion, Mongo the monkey, and Fribbet the frog. All embark from an island on the Flying Dragon to sail the seven seas in search of treasure.

“A Flag for the Flying Dragon” is dedicated to Roman’s parents, “ who always taught me to find a solution.” Carol Roman lives on Long Island with her husband and near her grown children.

Parents wanting a child book which includes some of life’s most valuable lessons, with an exciting story line, will find it all in this noteworthy picture book.
