Interestingly amulets were banned by the Christian church in about 355 AD, though gemstones continued to be used in ecclesiastical rings, especially sapphire and other gems possessing different religious meanings. Lesley is a qualified therapist and teacher of aromatherapy, reflexology and crystal healing, as well as being a reiki master. Lesley says that healing is about helping others to help themselves live their lives fully. ‘Healers do not get people better, we help others unlock their own healing and support them with energy to facilitate this.’ Describing her work with energy Lesley says ‘For me, it is tuning into the life force or energy that is all around and within us. Energy is indestructible. It cannot be destroyed but simply changes form, and I use the energy which surrounds us all as a positive healing force'. In her practise Lesley provides crystal healing treatments, and also incorporates crystals into her other therapies . ‘Several clients who were experiencing sleep problems found crystals useful. A crystal under the pillow can be very powerful which, when supported with a crystal healing session can bring about the desired change' ‘A recent client suffering back pain felt the pain literally "dissolve" with a crystal placed on the affected area. My treatments can be pretty wide ranging’ commented Lesley who, speaking about her own use says ‘They are in constant use at home and among other benefits, keep the atmosphere peaceful and cheerful.’ Lesley says she set up her new online crystal healing service because ‘There are only a few qualified and insured practitioners, so not everyone has easy access to a healer.’ 'I promote self healing and empowerment, and want to give as many people as possible the opportunity to receive crystal healing, and to consider acquiring their own life companion crystal’. ‘Online is quite different from face to face, and I need some information in order to "tune in" to the client and select the right crystal for them’. Lesley says she uses ‘intent’ when tuning in to people she has never met. ‘It sounds all fluffy and new age, yet we are all made up of the same human ‘stuff’ which resonates at certain frequencies. I aim to tune into a specific individual's frequencies.' ‘We do get healing skeptics', comments Lesley, 'and why wouldn't you? However, we don't feel X-rays do we, or see electricity in our homes?
