From 8:00PM to 12:00AM the celebration will continue with the sounds of Beantown Social Club led by Yaure Muniz. Born in Havana, Yaure Muniz grew up in an artistic family. His musician father was long associated with the Orquesta Cubana de Musica Moderna and often took his son to rehearsals, sitting and playing beside some of Cuba’s best musicians. After many years of study on trumpet and flugelhorn, he became a regular member of the Tropicana Orchestra. During this time, he also toured with the Timba and Latin Jazz band, Klimax. This launched him into an international performance career as lead trumpet with Latin superstars such as the Afro Cuban All Stars and Cubanismo. Yaure Muniz has been a recording artist on both the trumpet and flugelhorn inside an outside of Cuba since 1994. His performing accolades include three Grammy Awards as well as a recording and touring career with the Buena Vista Social Club. He moved to Boston in 2007 where he attended Berklee College of Music earning his Bachelor Degree in Music Performance and was awarded “Maynard Ferguson Award.” Currently he is an active member of the Boston music scene as a lead trumpet for several Jazz Big Bands and Latin music Orchestras. Yaure will be joined on stage by Anita "Quinto" on timbales, Alex Alvear on bass, Leo Blanco on piano and Manolo Mairena leading vocals.
