Follow on Google News | ![]() Annual CLB Metal Arts Workshop: Foldforming for Vessels + 4 Ways to AttendThis summer's annual Foldforming Event with Charles Lewton-Brain, the innovative pioneer of forged sheet forming, is July 24-26, 2015, at the Center for Metal Arts in downstate New York.
"Charles Lewton-Brain is one of the most knowledgeable, most celebrated and most accessible metalsmiths in North America," wrote Alan Revere in The Innovators. His work has been recognized by the British Museum Research Lab, by a 1991 Rolex award, and in 2012 he was the recipient of the prestigious Governor General Award for his contribution to Canadian arts. The annual event at the Center for Metal Arts is a chance for access to this very accessible and brilliant artist. This year, there are four ways to attend CLB 2015: Foldforming for Vessels.(1) FULL REGISTRATION includes all lectures, talks, demos, plus a block of hands-on studio time each day, working with Charles Lewton-Brain. (2) AUDIT REGISTRATION includes all lectures, talks and demos with Charles Lewton-Brain, no hands-on studio time. (3) DAY PASS: Register when arriving. Just look for a staff member, and you will be seated. Enjoy sitting in on a session with Lewton-Brain. (4) ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER WITH CHARLES LEWTON-BRAIN, for a farm-to-table feast and conversation with this much-celebrated dinner guest.
