'Sailor Moon' Fan Orchestra Concert Comes to LA

LOS ANGELES - May 24, 2015 - PRLog -- Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon returns to the concert stage this summer! After a sold-out debut performance in New York City, iconiQ The Soundtrack Orchestra brings the fan-created orchestral tribute SERASYMPHONY: Sailor Moon Symphony to The Colburn School in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday, July 5, 8pm.

Originally conceived as a video montage celebrating the series’ 20^th anniversary, the tribute concert features musical themes from the 1992 anime adaptation in a five-movement suite, complete with a double concerto performed by violinist Christina Bouey (http://www.christinabouey.com/) and composer-pianist Yasuhiko Fukuoka (http://www.yahzy.com). Played by a 30-piece chamber orchestra led by concertmaster Annette Homann (http://www.annettehomann.com/) and conducted by Bobbie Lee Crow III, this performance will include a special medley of DiC dub music starring guest singer Jennifer Cihi, the original singing voice of Sailor Moon in North America.

A successful Kickstarter campaign ran from February 15-April 16 raising $7,500 towards the event.
