Cylence Media Management Actresses Chelsea O'Toole & Kristine Sisco

Performing Lead Roles in the 2015 Hollywood Fringe Festival: Branson the Sitcom

LOS ANGELES - May 24, 2015 - PRLog -- Cylence Media Management (CMM) actresses Chelsea O'Toole & Kristine Sisco will be returning in their lead roles in the live stage production of “Branson the Sitcom” in this year's Hollywood Fringe Festival. It will be at the Dorie Theater at The Complex, 6476 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles CA 90038.

Writer, director, and producer Sam Burkett has had a longtime vision of bringing situationcomedy to live theater and originated the idea around some of his personal life experiences and standup comedy. Sam is currently producing 2 other sitcoms live on stage in LA with Branson being the first.

Having worked in theater and comedy for over 15 years in Texas and LA, he has had the pleasure of writing for nationally-known comedians such as George Carlin and Richard Jeni. Sam works intensely with a crew of just 3 people, Joe Integlia, Fred Galindo and Stephanie Rojas, to bring the production to this year’s Fringe Festival.

The festival describes itself as “an annual, open-access, community-derived event celebrating freedom of expression and collaboration in the performing arts community.” The festival is known for being a completely uncensored and open environment where almost anything goes. Actors, writers, directors, and artists from all over come together to perform in some of the most imaginative shows with endless possibilities for ingenuity.

Sam handpicks actors through a careful system he's developed in order to fill the specific niches his shows demands. He says, “I try to find a piece of an actor’s personality where I can create a character that they can excel in.” During each audition process he asks his actors for a word or phrase that describes them from a position of strength and and one of vulnerability. “Strength and vulnerability are the pillar and post of comedy” he says.

CMM actress Chelsea O'Toole, will reprise her lead role of Lisa Andrews, an LA makeup artist and recovering addict reeling from a divorce from her philandering husband who leaves her for an exotic dancer. Fellow CMM actress Kristine Sisco also returns as Minette Allen, a recently-divorced dancer and Lisa's manic-depressive best friend. The story follows Lisa's efforts to recover by takingher two daughters and Minette on a cross-country trip to find a place to start over, winding up in Branson, Missouri.

Sam intends to run the show through larger venues after the festival in order to gain exposure to TV networks, studios and production companies. He has always stated his goal in creating these shows is to create content digestible for a family-friendly audience and is honored to participate in a festival that centers so much on the community.

With only 8 performances this a show not to miss! For those who arrive early, well-known LA comedian Nicky Davis-Miller will warm up the audience with her incisive humor. The dates are June 11, 13, 19 and 25.

Tickets will be available at the door or through the Festival website at
