People Coming Together to Help Save a Home

SAN ANTONIO - May 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Back in 1975 a child was born, In Texas. This child was alone in the world his biological mother couldnt keep him and his biological father didn't even know he existed. but something amazing happened he was taken in by his maternal great grandparents that's right his mothers grandparents. they were elderly in thier 70's to be exact but they took him in and raised him as thier own. they became his parents the only ones that mattered anyways. They lived in a home which his great-grandfather purchased after many years of hard work. they were poor but he always had a roof over his head and was always loved, since his parents were elderly the boy had to drop out of school at the age of 14 and go to work in construction with an uncle to help support his parents (great grandparents) they were on social security and were becoming more and more fragile and the medical bills were piling up.

as far back as this boy could remember his parents told him this was his home and after they were gone it would always be his home. sadly they passed away when he was still young they were the only people who ever cared for him and because they were poor all they could leave him was this home. the home he grew up in, the home his parents raised him in. it was all he had left of them.

one day a few weeks after he lost his parents he lost his home.... it turns out his parents never made a will and never transferred the home into his name. so the home was taken away from him by a family member. he was put out into the streets.

this happened 21 years ago, a while back he was contacted by that family member and told that the house was going to be forclosed due to property tax non payment and if he wanted the home he could have it back. he jumped at the opportunity finally his home, his parents home, the home that was promised to him as a child the only thing left of his parents was going to be his again.

it turns out that family member never paid the taxes on the home in 21 years but he contacted the taxing authority and explained the situation and they agreed to give him some time to make payments, his idea was to rent out the home and use the proceeds to pay the taxes monthly until he was caught up.

but when he finally returned to the home he found that it had been completely destroyed. rotting floors, bad plumbing, fried electrical, broken windows and walls,roof leaks, overgrown yard and inside the home it was worse there was trash piled to the ceiling, there were rodents and even human feces, he cried how could they let this happen to his parents home, how was he going to save this home it was unlivable and ugly. he spent 2 weeks cleaning out the home disinfecting and hauling trash out. finally the home is clean but there is still all the repairs and the taxes are still due. he's running out of time and has no money to save his home, so after 21 years of being without his home he finally got it back but is about to lose it again.... and he's asking for help.

he says " it's hard to ask for help, but i can't lose this it's all i have left of my parents and i just got it back. please help me."
