Fine Artist, Tibor Simon-Mazula selected by Sundance Cinemas via StudioVox for Gallery Exhibition
StudioVox is a Los Angeles-based online network for creative professionals and artists. StudioVox serves as the chosen submission and curation platform for artwork to be exhibited at Sundance Cinemas' fine art galleries.
The artist often chooses to paint the world from above arranging compositions so his subjects are viewed as though seeing them through a secret window, offering the viewer an intimate perspective into their story. He believes that abstracting the figure breaks down visual boundaries and allows viewers to understand themselves through the figure in the painting.
Sundance Cinemas VP of Marketing and Gallery Curator, Nancy Gribler was immediately drawn to Tibor’s work, “Tibor’s paintings are at once evocative, sad and yet anticipatory. His figures and colors seem to convey waiting and a pause in life. Our patrons stop and discuss, which is a pleasure to observe.” CEO StudioVox Amanda Slingerland agrees, “Tibor’s paintings draw you in with a subtle intensity, conveying a tension between the familiar and the unknown, as if holding a hidden truth just below the surface you can sense but can't know, like a lover with a secret. His work creates a fantastic exhibition at Sundance, Kabuki Gallery.”
