Civically, Ms. Bethel partnered with “We the People”, a non-profit organization and the “Six Seconds” emotional intelligence network, to pilot the implementation of a social and emotional learning curriculum in 10 public schools in Nassau, Bahamas. Together, the team created a model for the implementation of the social and emotional learning curriculum within the Bahamian public school system.  Her recognition includes a 2013 Bahamas Icon Award nomination, a founding member of the Lyford Cay Scholars Alumni Association, and she is a Fulbright Scholar.
