eIntern is on a mission to hire more military veterans, providing the support and training needed to become successful software developers. Veterans are invited to attend a hiring workshop at 9:00 am on May 29 at eIntern's headquarters in Reston, VA.

RESTON, Va. - May 14, 2015 - PRLog -- After servicing our country military veterans oftentimes find it difficult to secure high-skilled, high-paying employment when transitioning into the civilian world.  Though many companies have aggressive campaigns to hire military veterans, employers find it challenging to identify individuals with the required skills.

In the IT industry technologies change so rapidly, finding any qualified candidates at all is a challenge for many employers.  The abyss between the skills required each year versus the number of available jobseekers continues to expand, preserving the "skills gap" that have confounded the entire country.

eIntern is a software company offering a solution to the "skills gap."  With its world class employment training model and unique hiring practices, eIntern is building its own workforce to be able to remain technologically relevant as opposed to competing on the market for a limited supply of qualified candidates.

Expanding on its target market of college students completing the eIntern web-based platform, eIntern is now targeting military veterans to offer the same opportunities to our service members to develop the skills needed to start on an elusive career path in software development.

Military veterans are invited to attend a hiring workshop at 9:00 am on May 29, 2015, at eIntern's headquarters in Reston, VA.  The workshop has two primary objectives.

The first part of the workshop will focus on sharing with veterans what employers are looking for in IT candidates.  eIntern will demystify job boards, sharing tips to yield higher odds in receiving an interview request.  How to maxmize a resume will be covered in addition to interview skills to confirm with employers that veterans have the skills and intangibles to succeed if given an opportunity.

The second part of the workshop will be an introduction to eIntern, job opportunities within the company and what it takes to be considered for employment as a professional softwar developer.  Veterans who have the minimum skills required for consideration will also have the chance to interview on the spot, potentiall yreceiving an offer of employment with eIntern.

Veterans interested in attending the free workshop can visit eIntern's EventBrite listing at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/hiring-veterans-who-code-tic... for more information.
