BORDEAUX, France - May 14, 2015 - PRLog -- First classified in 1855 in the municipality of Pauillac, Château Latour is named after Saint Maubert Tower overlooking the Gironde in the sixteenth century. No trace of this tower today, often confused with the pigeon dating from the seventeenth century that dominates the vineyards of the property.

Latour gaining a reputation that goes beyond the French borders from the eighteenth century, to know great fame in the late nineteenth century, which saw the construction of the present castle (1862-1864). This residence is surrounded by the vineyards used to produce the "big wine", the 48ha of old vines are nicknamed the Yard.

The castle has a total of 79ha vignoble.The castle tours are free, to book in advance.
