A Brand New Professional Development Resource for Teachers and Educators in the Triad!

Greensboro and the Triad area; beginning in June 2015, teachers, educators, and other community leaders will have a new resource for education professional development, community enrichment, and professional learning.

The College of William and Mary once researched the effects that teachers and other educators have on the lives of the students with whom they work. Their research revealed that, over the course of a 30 year career in education, an educator has the potential to impact the lives of 3000 students! Now, imagine if every educator was confident and prepared enough to realize their full potential each and every day in their classrooms and schools. Think about how positively we could influence the children in the schools and communities in the Triad!

When educators and community members choose ‘3000 Lives’ for their professional development and career growth, they can rest assured that each and every session is aligned with the North Carolina professional standards, so they can earn continuing education credits toward their license renewal. Services include: professional development workshops, a Beginning Teacher Support Program series, and professional book studies. There is also an option for school administrators and curriculum facilitators to design their own professional development plan to meet the specific needs of their school.
