CHELMSFORD, U.K. - May 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Brits are ditching the traditional sun-and-booze holiday for something more adventurous, according to a report out this month.

Fitness holidays are booming, says the Traveler survey, with the number of Britons planning a fitness holiday almost doubling in the past year. Almost one in two people are booking activity breaks rather than the traditional ‘fly and flop’ experience, with one in three wanting to ‘tone up’ on holiday and nearly one quarter hoping to lose weight.

Here at Satvada Retreats, our luxury but affordable retreats - such as our Marrakech Wellbeing Holiday in September, and Yoga and Walking in the Atlas Mountains in November - have long been appealing to the 17 per cent of people who look for a holiday to help them ‘concentrate purely on their wellbeing’, not to mention others who say they look for the chance to ‘eat more healthily and improve their mental health’.

On a Satvada Retreat you will certainly do that. All our escapes are full-board and include a daily menu of generous brunches, afternoon pastries and a hearty evening meal, mostly organic and bursting with flavour - think breakfast pancakes and blueberry compote, homemade gluten-free brownies and sizzling tagines. Meanwhile our carefully crafted balance of activity and downtime is perfect for the 82 per cent of people who think staying active is important on holiday, according to travel company Health and Fitness Travel, with yoga, dance and meditation at the top of the list.

The Croatian Yoga and Walking Holiday offers two taught yoga and meditation classes a day (a 90-minute morning hatha flow session and a gentler restorative yoga and mindfulness session in the afternoon), two guided 2/3-hour walks over two mornings, and plenty of free time to enjoy the glittering sea views pr private swimming pool - all in the sumptuous surroundings that are the hallmark of our sensual, tranquil escapes.

Whether it’s enjoying a complementary massage, learning how to manage stress better, limbering up for a guided walks through the stunning Atlas mountains or browsing through an incense-rich Marrakech street market, Satvada Retreats holidays offer plenty of scope for relaxation and adventure.

What’s more, early birds booking for September Croatian Wellbeing Holiday can now enjoy a massive £200 off.
