New BBQ Business in Anderson Township

CINCINNATI - May 7, 2015 - PRLog -- On Saturday, May 9, 2015, join Sweets & Meats BBQ, a licensed and insured mobile food vendor and caterer located at the Patriot Center of Cincinnati for a delicious barbecue. Sweets & Meats BBQ rents the commercial kitchen at the Patriot Center and sets up their mobile food operation on weekends for carry out only, in addition to competing in BBQ competitions throughout the state and participating in local events. Hours are Saturday form 12-6pm and Sunday from 11am-4pm.

Formerly Silverglades, the Patriot Center of Cincinnati is located at 6660 Clough Pike next to the Family Pet Center. Sweets & Meats BBQ sells smoked meats, homemade sides, and dessert, including but not limited to Ribs, Rib Tips, Brisket, Pulled Chicken and Pulled Pork. Everything is slow smoked, seasoned to perfection using their own rub, and sauce is served on the side.

Sweets & Meats BBQ launched in November 2014 and is owned by Kristen Bailey, resident of Mt. Washington. Bailey sold food at the Mt. Washington Creamy Whip & Bakery and Old Milford Creamy Whip prior to finding a permanent location in March 2015. The business quickly gained momentum and Sweets & Meats BBQ was featured in the Cincinnati Enquirer last December and was a nominee for City Beats Best of Cincinnati EATS Category under Barbecue, after only two months in operation. The business has primarily been focused on marketing through social media and dependent on word of mouth advertising. They hope to offer a cafe style dining option for customers this summer. "Sweets & Meats BBQ is really focused on quality and we differentiate ourselves by serving homemade side items and dessert, in addtion to slow smoked and incredibly tender meats. We are local residents, invested in our community, and determined to open a brick and mortar in the Mt. Washington/Anderson Township area, but are being very conservative in our approach at the moment," said Bailey.
