MENASHA, Wis. - May 6, 2015 - PRLog -- (Menasha, WI — May 5, 2015) — The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, McClone, and Bergstrom Automotive are teaming up to support the 10th annual Strike Out Cancer Day at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium. The event takes place on Sunday, July 26 as the Timber Rattlers take on the Clinton LumberKings at 1:05pm.

Strike Out Cancer Day allows local children with cancer to forget about fighting their disease with a free day full of pre-game activities at the ballpark with their families. Additionally, a portion of every ticket purchased at the gate on game day will be put towards a fund that provides assistance to local families impacted by pediatric cancer.

When families go through a pediatric cancer battle, their lives are turned upside down. For so many families, it’s near impossible to find time to connect as a family, because your entire focus is on getting your sick child healthy. Strike Out Cancer Day gives families a full day to relax and enjoy some much needed family time without having to spend a dime.

Strike Out Cancer Day was founded ten years ago by local Fox Valley resident Sarah-Beth Janssen. The title sponsors for the year’s Strike Out Cancer Day will be Bergstrom Automotive and McClone. This year’s event will feature a Wigs for Kids Drive, and Be the Match will also be at the game helping the public register in their national bone marrow donor program. Additionally, there will be a special performance by Move to the Groove after they wrap up their program with the families at the private tailgate party. All local families impacted by pediatric cancer and in need of financial assistance are highly encouraged to apply for the Strike Out Cancer Day (https://www.facebook.com/StrikeOutCancerDay) fund.
