European Commission, Gust, Kauffman Foundation & European Research Council at EBAN 2015 Angel Summit

NEW YORK - May 5, 2015 - PRLog -- More than 300 top early stage investors including business angels, venture philanthropists, family investors, venture capital funds, seeds funds, business accelerators and entrepreneurs from across the world will gather at Eindhoven, Netherlands for a premier European early stage investor community event, the EBAN 2015 Angel Summit. This event will be held at Europe's top research and development center and innovation hub, High Tech Campus from 6th to 8th May, 2015. The theme for this 3-day event is creating, building and financing success stories in Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.

On the eve of the summit, EBAN President Candace Johnson and Vice President Ari Korhonen met and discussed with the European Commission Vice President Jyrki Katainen concrete suggestions for the EU 300 billion Euro investment plan. They highlighted four (4) key points. They also presented EBAN’s  policy papers on “The Creation of the E-Zone” and the “Start-up Investors Manifesto” to him.

EBAN 2015 Angel Summit agenda features an Open Forum and an Annual Congress. On day one of the event, summit attendees can expect to engage in a series of  forum activities. Some of these activities include an Investment Forum, an Early Stage Camp, and Training sessions for Entrepreneurs, Business Angel Networks and Business Angels. Summit attendees can also expect to engage in an e-Xcelerator Forum and a Global Investor Forum later in the day. The Annual Congress will kick off on day two of the event. The congress will explore topics such as "Creating E-zones virtually with Crowdfunding Platforms, Capital Market Union and Stock Exchanges", "Expanding Venture Finance Eco-systems" and "Creating Strategic Entrepreneurial Ecosystems". In the afternoon, attendees will engage in concurrent panel discussions on various topics. A live session on crowdfunding is scheduled to take place later on day two.

The Annual Congress continues on day three of the EBAN Summit event. Deliberations on this day will include "Identifying ways for Business Angels to create Success Stories Globally", "Fostering Entrepreneurship Ecosystems" and "Using Business Angel Investments to make Money". Attendees will be treated to a Gala Dinner Ceremony at the end of day two to celebrate organizations and individuals who have made significant and successful contribution in the early stage investment market. During the gala dinner, the best early stage investor in Europe will be recognized.
