By: Theatrix USA Goddess People is a three-act play that unfolds on the stage in real time. Goddess People tells the tale of six people who intend to spend a leisurely afternoon in a fashionable shop located in resort town in the Middle East. Friends, this is their standard course. Taking tea and chatting are the order of day, as is usually the case for them. As the clock ticks, the small group of people assembled in the shop slowly learn that their town is under siege by insurgents intent on taking the village by force. Ultimately, they realize that they are not likely to leave the shop alive. Goddess People is a character study of how six very different people face what is likely to be the final minutes of their life. Goddess People is the work of playwright Mike Broemmel whose play The Baptism just ran to full houses in Denver. The Baptism was possible only because of the generous support of contributors to a successful GoFundMe campaign in 2014. Goddess People is produced by Theatrix USA (http://www.theatrixusa.org/ Goddess People has just completed its premiere run in Denver to sold out houses and tremendous audience response. In short, Goddess People was a true success the first time it was staged in Colorado. Goddess People is now slated to be staged in Kansas City in the Summer of 2015 -- provided we can garner the necessary financial support. This is why we absolutely need your support today! Please make a donation -- no matter the amount -- to support the efforts of those striving to continue to make live, original theater a reality in the 21st century. End
