Follow on Google News | Reperio Records Seeks Unsigned and Independent BandsReperio Radio to Feature Unsigned Bands, Bands Signed to Small and Independent Labels
By: Reperio Records “The music industry is primarily controlled by three labels,” explains Outreach Director Matt Rizzo. “If you aren’t signed with those labels, you probably aren’t getting heard on traditional radio.” “We want to change that. We believe all music should be heard, not just what the labels think will generate the most income,” adds Director of Talent Development, Perry Swan. The service, which allows artists to keep 100% of copyright and sales revenue, plans to launch nationally in July, 2015. There is no cost to the artist. Perry says, “Before we can launch, we need bands from every country, and from every genre – rock, hip-hop, folk, gospel, kids’ music…you name it, we want it!” “We screen the music for production quality only. We can’t accept iphone recordings of karaoke, because that wouldn’t be fair to the listeners and subscribers,” The service’s listeners vote on their favorites. The top ten artists in each genre at the end of the month get additional, free marketing. “We can’t launch without artists. We know there are artists out there with something to say. We want to share that message with the world,” urges Perry. “If you are a musician or band with something to say, let’s work together. Reach out to us on facebook, on twitter, or through ReperioRecords.com.” About Reperio Records Reperio Records understands the power of music, and wants to give that power back to the people. Reperio strives to overcome the subtle censorship of record labels by providing a service free of censorship. Reperio never judges a musical work by genre, style, or personal taste; instead, all music with a high production quality is made available to listeners through streaming services.
