Kimono Fashion Show "Wheel of Life" in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Kimono stylist, Hiromi Asai and flower arrangement expert, Mieko Kubota present Kimono Fashion Show "Wheel of Life" on May 10, 2015 at Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale to show various kimono ensembles for men and women of all ages.
Kimono is a Japanese sophisticated garment with a long history, over one thousand years. On this kimono show, Hiromi Asai produces 17 various kimono ensembles of all ages ranging in age from 3 to 78. First, Hiromi Asai focuses on outfits inspired by the Japanese children’s festival “Shichi-Go-
Hiromi Asai, an owner of Kimono Hiro in FL & NY, works as a wardrobe stylist for fashion magazines, including Vogue, i-D Magazine, and Exhibition Magazine, the anniversary event of Shiseido America, and ads of Verizon Wireless. Hiromi Asai collaborated with designers to produce Western-Eastern fusion styles at New York Fashion Week. Furthermore, Hiromi Asai successfully produced a series of kimono fashion shows at Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam and The Museum of World Culture in Gothenburg, Sweden, and in New York, as well as in Miami Beach this March. Hiromi Asai creates various styles from traditional to modern fusion, featuring kimono. Hiromi Asai always thinks that kimono will be recognized as a universal formal wear that is beyond cultural and ethnic boundaries.

Hiromi Asai and MODE & CLASSIC created various fashion & art pieces featuring kimono for advertisements (Verizon Wireless in 2009), fashion magazines, films and TV programs. Hiromi Asai and Mode & Classic also gave kimono demonstrations and talks across the States. Hiromi Asai collaborated with a designer, Susan Cianciolo to produce fantastic styles at New York Fashion Week in 2011. The collaboration in the art field was accomplished with a visual artist, Laurie Simmons, to create a film: Geisha Song and a series of photos: The Love Doll. In addition, Hiromi Asai and Mode & Classic successfully produced a series of kimono fashion shows at Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam and The Museum of World Culture in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2011. Furthermore, Hiromi Asai presented seasonal fashion collection featuring kimonos, as "FUSION" for Spring/Summer 2012 at BK Fashion Weekend.
Hiromi Asai opened a new studio "Kimono Hiro in FL" in South Florida in 2013. Hiromi Asai successfully produced a kimono fashion show “Emerging from Pupa” in Miami Beach in March, 2015. Hiromi Asai offers various services related to kimono and Japanese fashion in New York as well as in Florida.
