BuLogics and StratIS Host “A Mother’s Day Dream” Fundraiser for Family of Burned Home

PHILADELPHIA - May 1, 2015 - PRLog -- Five years after escaping with little more than their lives during a house fire, Colleen Moffit and her children are getting help from the local community to get them back into their home. On May 2^nd from 2pm to 5pm, representatives from BuLogics, StratIS and the East Falls community will host a carnival-style fundraiser.

In preparation for the festivities, representatives from these groups participated in a “house cleaning” day. A full day was dedicated to cleaning out the home of furniture and debris and readying it for the fundraiser party and subsequent build out. “The community has really stepped up to help us out here”, said Felicite Moorman, CEO of BuLogics and StratIS. “We have received donations from some really amazing people and companies. We have moving supplies, tools, time and energy. Now we just need to start putting up walls and putting down floors, so that means drywall, nails and hardwood.”

Included at the fundraiser will be carnival games, face painting and a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of materials for the build out. Moorman has also started a Go Fund Me page accepting donations from those unable to attend the event or donate other goods. Online publication, East Falls Local, has provided pictures and details of the Moffit family’s experience. “For once, I put my camera down during an interview. These are not the pictures I want to take of East Falls”, said East Falls Local writer and co-founder, Carolyn Fillmore.

Monetary donations on the Go Fund Me page will be accepted through the end of May at www.GoFundMe.com/AMothersDayDream Donations of building supplies and materials will be accepted at the BuLogics/StratIS offices located at 4200 Ridge Avenue in Philadelphia.
