WASHINGTON - April 30, 2015 - PRLog -- The World’s Top 20 Global Universities Rankings for 2015 was published today by NJ MED, a United States, NGO partner of the United Nation’s Economic and Social Affairs Department. The college’s rankings are based on both indicators that targets the United Nation’s Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI) to address both issues.

The Higher Education Sustainability Initiative was created as a partnership of United Nation entities (UNESCO, Global Compact, Environment Programme (UNEP), United Nations University (UNU), and the Economic and Social Affairs Department) to get institutions of higher education to commit to teach sustainable development concepts, encourage research on sustainable development issues, green their campuses, and support sustainability efforts in their communities.

NJ MED’s Executive Director, Mr. Albert Mitchell II said, “Our goal to educate every child on the planet is a very ambitious effort that will require developing strategy and building relationships with other UN members; to supplement their mission to reach both of our objectives. The Higher Education Sustainability Initiative is a project, we can help support, and look forward to reinforce their message, through our higher education ranking system”

NJ MED’s higher education rankings cover the results from 300 university members of HESI and 200 other universities, in eight global regions (Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Central America, Europe, Oceania, North America, and South America).

NJ MED’s Global Universities Rankings, are unlike other international ranking systems. Ranks are based on each university’s impact towards: 1) improving nation’s attainment and achievement levels towards establishing a knowledge base workforce for the 21st century, and 2) promoting social skills that positively affect community development.

The Global Universities Rankings for 2015 has 14 Universities from the United States, 5 from Europe and one from Asia making the rankings. Led by the United States’ Harvard University.
