HealthSource Chiropractic of Avon | Free Chiropractic Treatments for Military Service Members in May

AVON, Ohio - April 29, 2015 - PRLog -- Throughout the entire month of May, with proper ID, both current and former military service members can receive free chiropractic treatments at HealthSource Chiropractic in Avon.

Back problems are the single most common medical issue reported by veterans of recent conflict, and while the VA now offers chiropractic options, these services can only be found in less than 50 select VA treatment facilities within the United States. Unfortunately, that means an overwhelming majority of America’s veterans still do not have access to chiropractic care, and that’s where HealthSource Chiropractic of Avon is stepping in.

“I wanted to do this in memory of someone I lost in 2007, Sgt. Anthony Vinnedge. I know the sacrifices these men and women make, and this is something very near and dear to my heart,” said Dr. Natalie Migoni, D.C. of HealthSource Chiropractic in Avon. “One day just simply isn’t enough – both to show our gratitude and to be able to set up a quality treatment plan for our patients. Proper chiropractic adjustments take time which is why we wanted to offer services for the entire month,” she added. Whether military or civilian, most people today are given medication to relieve pain found in their back and neck areas. Medicine can indeed make the pain subside, but it often times does not get to the root cause of the problem – that’s where chiropractic treatments come in to play.

Dr. Migoni is also waiving service members’ annual $49 enrollment fees for a chiropractic insurance called, ChiroHealth. After the month of May, this will give service members an opportunity to continue chiropractic treatments at a discounted rate, plus their immediate family members, for one year.

Finally, HealthSource Chiropractic in Avon has also partnered with the national non-profit military organization, Wish For Our Heroes. Chiropractic care is not only an underutilized option for service members, but also the general public. “This May, the cost of new patient exams and x-rays will be waived in exchange for a $25 cash donation to Wish For Our Heroes.,” said Dr. Migoni. “At the end of the month, our office will match this amount we’ve collected and donate it back to Wish For Our Heroes,” she added. “May is not only a time for us to focus on providing quality care to our patients, but it’s also an opportunity for us to give back to service members within our own communities who may be going through hard times.” 100% of the money raised in this month, will be donated to WishForOurHeroes.org and will provide assistance to one of our local service members in need.
