Dentons named MENA TMT Legal Adviser of the Year

April 28, 2015 - PRLog -- International law firm Dentons was again recognised for its regional strength in the TMT sector in the Middle East and North Africa, after being named 'TMT Legal Adviser of the Year' at the TMT MENA 2015 Awards, held in Dubai on April 22, 2015. http://www.tmtfinance.com/mena/

Organised by international publishing and events group TMT Finance, the TMT MENA Awards reward outstanding achievement in telecoms media and technology M&A and investment, leadership, and innovation. This year’s conference and awards also had a key focus on Smart City investment strategies. The awards follow the TMT MENA 2015 Conference which brings together the region's leading executives from telecom, tech, government, finance and advisory institutions to assess investment strategies.

It is the second time Dentons has won this prestigious award in recognition of its involvement in major and innovative telecoms, media and IT projects across the MENA region. This included drafting new telecommunication and postal laws in Qatar, major ground-breaking arbitrations, negotiating multi-million dollar IT and telecom supply agreements and ‎advising on new licence bids and other licensing matters, including in Algeria.  On the media front, Dentons advised OSN on its successful bid for the media rights for the ICC cricket matches in the MENA region (2015-2023).
