SmartVille – India 2015 taking place on the 09th - 10th July 2015

Mr. MVenkaiah Naidu,mentioned while delivering the keynote address at the US - India Smart Cities Conclave emphasized that it was time to walk the talk on PM's Mission on smart cities. He said unless the leadership is smart with smart vision, smart commitment and smart courage to take reforms the smart city mission cannot be realized.

In this light of developments, where India is yet developing a plan for such smart cities projects, Real Estate and infrastructure sector will be the backbone of the Indian economy and a major contributor in economic growth of the country. The sector accounts for high inflow of FDI and provides considerable employment opportunities to people in India.

India is on a scout for new and innovative energy saving products,where Technology will not be the only answer. Laying down concrete development plans for India’s Smart Buildings to take shape, is ringing the alarm for the development of smart cities across India.

Why is it necessary to make buildings smart?

Buildings are complex entities with multiple interconnected systems such as control and maintenance systems, heating, lighting and cooling systems, and security systems. These systems need to communicate and coordinate with one another for the buildings to work efficiently. In most of the traditional buildings, these systems exist in silos, leading to lot of energy wastage. It is possible to convert these buildings into smart and energy efficient buildings by infusing advanced automationproducts that can sense and respond intelligently to the needs of the building occupants.
