“Electric Republic is a concept over 20 years in the making. Over the past six years, York has transitioned his impressive entertainment resume to incorporate TV and film production and management. Electric Republic aims to develop creative content that speaks to today’s generation. The company is set to constantly evolve with the digital culture and leave room for advances and innovations that will aid in the growth of the republic.

In 2012, Electric Republic alongside Flavor Unit Entertainment and Jacavi Films, produced their first theatrical film, 'Brotherly Love' which is scheduled for release April 24, 2015. “Ultimately, we at ER believe that if we find you, you have the ability to do multiple things. If you join the republic, you have the ability to transcend barriers,” said York. “I’m not just managing actors so they can win an Oscar. We’re creating brands that can be marketed into third party businesses and beyond.”

Current digital assets belonging to ER include the fraternity and sorority networking app, ‘Prophytes’ founded by Electric Republic VP, Eric York in 2012. In 2015 ER acquired, redeveloped and successfully relaunched the app January of 2015 on the IOS and Android market.
