Follow on Google News | Countdown to Trinity Winchester's Big Sleep Out sponsored charity eventRaising money and awareness for homeless and other vulnerable people.
By: Trinity Winchester Michelle Gardner, Director of Strategy and Fundraising at Trinity Winchester, said: “We’d like to thank the Dean and Chapter for once again allowing us to host this incredible event in the grounds of Winchester Cathedral. “This is our biggest, highest profile fundraising event, and our target is to raise more than the £24,000 raised in 2013. Large events like these are vital in allowing us to raise money for our work supporting homeless and vulnerable people to change their current situation. Most of us cannot begin to imagine what it is like to be homeless, and this event does not attempt to try, but will raise awareness that there is a homelessness problem in Winchester.” One team committed to the cause is local estate agents, Goadsby. A team from the office took part in the event in 2013, and have signed up once again. Pictured is Branch Manager Chris Pickard, showing his support for the Big Sleep Out. “Last time, we raised a phenomenal £1200, and we’re hoping to do even better this year. It’s such an important cause.” Winchester Churches Night Shelter will also receive 10% of the profits from the event.
