On Saturday, April 25th, four of Toronto’s pre-eminent Asian female musicians collaborate to present new, uniquely Canadian works. Featuring Suba Sankaran, Vandana Vishwas, Amely Zhou and Bandana Singh, the concert will be the culmination of a four-day intensive collaborative process in which the participants exchange songs, influences and inspiration resulting in new repertoire that highlights the best of their collective strengths. In this instance, four of the city's most engaging female music creators come together to develop and present new, original Canadian compositions that represent and celebrate the talent of Asian women in Toronto. Showcasing the copious talents of Suba Sankaran, Bandana Singh, Vandana Vishwas, and Amely Zhou, the concert will also feature the backing of Toronto’s tabla virtuoso Ed Hanley and the multi-instrumental wizardry of Dylan Bell.
