The Tree of Health Center Proudly Presents Mindful Zen Painting with Madame Elaine

NEWTON, N.J. - April 21, 2015 - PRLog -- The Tree of Health Center is honored to announce Madame Elaine’s Mindful Zen Painting class for your joy and well-being. Mindful Zen Painting is an art and meditation practice that enhances your life through the act of painting. It focuses on being in the present moment, both within you and around you. It also helps in creating a quiet inner space where your mind relaxes and creative awareness deepens. Madame Elaine’s first of a four- class series will take place on May 19^th, from noon to 1:30pm.

Research has proven that the practice of mindfulness has many physical, mental and emotional benefits, and can improve our brains permanently. Mindful Zen Painting will assist in quieting your mind through the stillness of mindful painting, and allows you to tune into the deepest, most intuitive parts of yourself. As you experience your inner self in this way, your inner artist awakens and your personal expression begins. It is more about the process than the end product, for there are no mistakes in Zen.

Madame Elaine begins each class with a few minutes of meditation to allow you to access your intuition and allow its energy and vitality to flow through the brush. Getting started you will learn about holding the brush, understanding the different strokes, making textures, adding details, suggesting perspective and distance, and using color. You will learn the many benefits of mindfulness, including improved concentration and focus, reduced stress, more positive thinking, a healthier immune system, and a much improved outlook.

Madame Elaine has worked her magic as a professional award-winning fine artist and digital artist for over fifteen years. She is also an art instructor with over twelve years teaching experience and enjoys sharing her passion of art with others. The many health benefits associated with her practice have led to her interest in teaching Mindful Zen Painting classes. Her paintings have won awards in national juried art shows and national art magazine competitions, and her illustrations have appeared on the cover of national magazines, books, and science journals. In addition to online learning and self-directed study, Madame Elaine has been trained at Temple University, Montclair University and The Grand Central Academy of Art in New York City.

Mindful Zen Painting is easy for anyone to learn and it’s fun to do. Your choice of two four-class series are May 19^th, 22^nd, 26^th, and 29^th from noon to 1:30 PM and May 19^th, 21^st, 26^th, and 28^th from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. The class fee is $30 per class.
