LEXINGTON, Ky. - April 20, 2015 - PRLog -- The most colorful race in the world gets underway in Lebanon, Ky., on Sat., May 16. Put on a white shirt and – whether running, sprinting, jogging, walking or dancing – plan to be part of a moving rainbow during the 2015 Color in Motion 5k race. The race begins at 9 a.m., departing from Graham Memorial Park and following Lebanon’s varying terrain into downtown. Watch a video and register at Color in Motion 5k (https://www.facebook.com/colorinmotion5k).

Along the race course participants will be showered in vibrant colors, creating a one-of-kind souvenir out of your t-shirt and giving you a once-in-a-lifetime experience. According to event coordinators, runners end up looking like a “bag of Skittles exploded on them” by the end of the race. The harmless, biodegradable color powder is easy to wash off – but so much fun to earn.

Make no mistake: The emphasis on the Color in Motion 5k is firmly on fun. No skill is required; walkers, runners, joggers, crawlers, skippers and dancers are all welcome. Speed takes a back seat to the enjoyment and amusement of the race; in fact, if you want to know your 5k time, you’ll need to pack a stopwatch.

When the race ends, a huge After Party takes place at the finish line where participants will be bombarded with even more color. What’s more, spectators get to join in the fun for this party.

For those who want to enjoy the action without racing, about 100 volunteers are needed to make this race a success. Anyone interested in volunteering should sign up on ColorInMotion5k.com (http://www.ColorInMotion5k.com). Volunteers will be needed for packet stuffing on Thursday night, packet pick-up on Friday morning and evening and for race day activities on Saturday morning and afternoon.

Race organizers will be providing a discount ticket early in the selling process, so stay tuned to both the Color in Motion 5k (https://www.facebook.com/colorinmotion5k) and Lebanon TCC’s (http://www.facebook.com/VisitLebanon) Facebook pages for more info, as well as for future discount codes in case you miss the initial one.
