Walla Walla Valley Honda Hosts “Hot Dogs and Hot Dogs” Sheriff's Foundation FundraiserThe local Honda dealer is teaming up with the Prescott Lyons Club to raise funds for the Walla Walla Sheriff's Office K-9 Program on April 25.
Deputy Farel and Deputy Gudy will have their handlers present, who will explain the importance of the newly revitalized K-9 program over a complimentary lunch. While both of the new deputies serve the Sheriff's Office, the dogs work in different capacities. One K-9 team assists with the Walla Walla Regional SWAT team while the other will be cross-trained in narcotics detection. The re-establishment of the K-9 program could not have happened without the help of the Walla Walla Sheriff's Foundation and the donations of area citizens. Attendees of the “Hot Dogs and Hot Dogs” fundraiser are encouraged to donate to the K-9 program and keep the service going strong. The addition of Gudy and Farel to the department is an example of what the Walla Walla community can accomplish together, and its continued success would not be possible without the support of that community. Area residents who are not able to attend “Hot Dogs and Hot Dogs” can contact the Walla Walla Sheriff's Foundation to learn about supporting the K-9 program. For questions about the fundraising event, readers can contact Walla Walla Valley Honda, located at 1240 SE Commercial Drive in College Place. In its first year of operation, the dealership has served the community with a unique, customer-first sales mentality and an expansive inventory of used cars and brand-new models from one of the most popular automakers in the world.
