Taking place at Massey Hall in Toronto, Canada, the concert featured Korean-American music stars Ailee, Jay Park and San E in their very first onstage collaboration. Unite the Mic was held in conjunction with Krowdpop, a crowdfunding platform that helps to bring Korean artists to global concert venues. Krowdpop is run by KPOP United, an organization founded by K-pop fans dedicated to promoting Korean pop music to fans worldwide. Fans suggest K-pop acts to be brought to their cities and Krowdpop arranges crowdfunding, while KPOP United handles production and promotion, with help from YesStyle as a sponsor.
