Soul/Pop Recording Artist Carl Brister Headlines NJCAP Earth Day/Child Assault Prevention Concert

JERSEY CITY, N.J. - April 17, 2015 - PRLog -- Multi-album independent R&B/Soul recording artist, Carl Brister, will be performing at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ on Saturday, April 25, 2015 beginning at 1:30pm. The concert is part of a day of activities including arts & crafts, face painting, and fun for the whole family in partnership with New Jersey Child Assault Prevention Program (NJCAP).

Connecting with NJCAP made perfect sense to Carl, having publicly shared his own story of triumphing over a tragic encounter of childhood sexual assault from a family friend. Carl breaks new ground to empower others who may have gone through the same by being using his music as a platform for awareness.

Carl Brister has had appearances on BET, NBC, and several other networks. He has released three independent gospel-soul projects which received national airplay. His latest crossover R&B/Soul video “I’m Still Here” which also addresses child sexual assault is currently airing internationally on VH-1, Magic Johnson’s Aspire network and reached #1 on PULSE TV/UPN network. “I’m Still Here” is also featured on top Urban mainstream/Hip Hop websites including “This Is 50.com”, and ZUUS Media’s Positive, Hip/Hop.com other popular music websites.

As a philanthropist, Carl has been a long-time supporter of HIV/AIDS outreach, Young Father’s programs and educational outreach for students in urban schools.
