Award Show Nation Has Plenty of Music

ATLANTA - April 16, 2015 - PRLog -- Building on the successes of past years, Award Show Nation has set the date for the GA Music Awards, held again this year at the Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta. Although the show is set for later in the year this year, on August 15, the nominations process is moving along quickly and with record numbers of nominations.  This year marks the first time the Carolina Music Awards will be held prior to the GA Music Awards.

The nomination calendar has also been adjusted to match the 2015 dates. Traditionally, the GA Music Awards nominations would go to the selection committee prior to the Carolina Music Awards, but this year the script is flipped. While the Carolina Music Awards nominations are ending on Friday, April 17, the GA Music Awards nominations will end on Friday, May 18. And with more to come in Florida, more dates will come.

“We wanted to make sure the nominations and voting periods reflected the dates for both awards shows,” says Omar McCallop, founder of Award Show Nation, “A lot of what we do is designed to ensure consistency from year to year, and we of course are looking forward to vetting the great music we continue to see year after year.”
