Newport Beach Film Festival To Showcase Exclusive Screening Of Mexican Cinema

16th Annual Festival to Spotlight Mexican Feature Film ‘One for the Road’ (En el Último Trago) Followed by Gala Celebration of Food and Culture
 
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - April 16, 2015 - PRLog -- Newport Beach, Calif.(April 2015) – On Wednesday, April 29th, 2015 the Newport Beach Film Festival will present its Mexican Spotlight, an evening celebration of Mexican cinema and culture. The Spotlight will screen the regional premiere of the Mexican feature film One for the Road (En el Último Trago).

One for the Road
is a comedy packed journey following three eighty-somethings on an unexpected road trip into unknown territory in order to fulfill the dying wish of a lifelong friend. One for the Road is directed byJack Zagha Kababieand starsLuis Bayardo, Eduardo Manzano, José Carlos Ruiz and Pedro Weber 'Chatanuga'.

“The Festival is exceptionally proud to showcase such strong Latino cinema,” stated Gregg Schwenk, CEO of the Newport Beach Film Festival. “One for the Road is a must see film that exceptionally blends heartfelt comedy, friendship and adventure.”

The Mexican Spotlight film will screen at 8:00pm on Wednesday, April 29th, 2015 at Edwards Big Newport (300 Newport Center Drive in Newport Beach, CA 92660). The post-screening celebration will take place at 10:00pm at the Via Lido Plaza (3425 Via Lido, Newport Beach, CA 92663). The event will feature tastings from top Orange County restaurants and a hosted bar by Stella Artois Beer, Rémy Cointreau and Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

The 2015 Newport Beach Film Festival Mexican Spotlight is supported by Via Lido Plaza, Hoy Magazine, OC Weekly, Para Todos, Orange County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Mexico Tourism Board.

Admission to the Mexican Spotlight film and post-screening celebration is $45.

Post-screening celebration only is $25 / Film screening only is $20

The minimum age for attendees is 21 years old.
