Good Shepherd Shelter & Martin’s Favor show Gospel Music can transform with Help Your Children

LOS ANGELES - April 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Following on last night’s celebration of Gospel Music at the White House, Good Shepherd Shelter, in partnership with the gospel group, Martin’s Favor, will transform lives with the proceeds from downloads of the song, Help Your Children at www.goodshepherdshelter.org.

As President Obama noted at last night’s concert celebrating gospel music in the U.S. "It still has an unmatched power to strike the deepest chord in all of us, touching people of all faiths and of no faith," he said. “Gospel songs are the "songs of hope. Hope that we might rise above our failures and disappointments. Hope that we might receive His redemption. Hope that, in lifting our voices together, we, too, might one day reach the Promised Land."

Martin’s Favor song, Help Your Children, gives hope to the families, who have survived domestic violence, by supporting the work of Good Shepherd Shelter, the oldest domestic violence shelter in Los Angeles.

With the downloading running until Mother’s Day, May 10^th, Help Your Children will be available to download at Good Shepherd Shelter website and CD Baby for $1.57.

“Domestic violence received a lot of attention in 2014,” explains Amanda Gibson, Co-Executive Director of Good Shepherd Shelter. “Unfortunately, attention fades but the effects of domestic violence does not.  The #HelpUsHelpThem campaign will enable Good Shepherd Shelter to double the number of families served by our program in 2015, rebuilding lives and ending the generational cycle of abuse.”
