BioPac'r Lawn Clipping Grass Compactor Recycles Grass Waste into Silage to Feed Cattle

By: Yellowstone Compact and Commodities, Corp.

JACKSON, Wyo. - April 15, 2015 - PRLog -- BioPac'r has designed an innovative new technology that keeps lawn clippings out of the landfill or compost pile and instead turns them into livestock feed. The device that achieves this transformation can be loaded in the back of a pickup truck or trailer and is ideal for any landscaping company or golf course that produces multiple pickup bed loads of grass clippings on a regular basis. The BioPac'r compactor is loaded with clippings that are then compressed and packaged into a 1-ton package, which measures 3 by 4 by 4.5 feet. The silage bag, which is also produced and sold by Yellowstone Compact and Commodities, Corp., serves as the container in which the biomass is pickled, fermented, and detoxified of any residual pesticides which may have been used on the lawns or golf courses.

Prior to the invention of this solution, the only option for landscapers or golf courses was to pay to dispose of their clippings in landfills. Repeated trips to the dump has obvious environmental and financial downsides for the business owners who pay their employees to make the regular trips. Now landscapers have the option to forgo the costs of dumping green waste and instead turn it into sustainable silage that can be sold to farmers.
