Follow on Google News | Endocrine Disruptors & Exposure Concerns Discussed in New VideoThe IAQ Video Network releases another educational production about important environmental, health & safety (EHS) issues.
According to the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, “Endocrine disruptors are chemicals that may interfere with the body’s endocrine system and produce adverse developmental, reproductive, neurological, and immune effects in both humans and wildlife.” These substances can be either naturally occurring or man-made. “There are a wide range of fairly common substances that are believed to act as endocrine disruptors by many in the science community,” said Paul Cochrane, President of Cochrane and Associates, the company behind the IAQ Video Network. “These range from phthalates and BPA to some fire retardants, PCBs, lead and mercury to name just a few. We hope this new video helps to shed some light on endocrine disruptors that people may encounter during the daily lives.” This educational video was sponsored by a number of organizations and leading industry professionals that work to protect the public’s health. Sponsors include: EMSL Analytical, LA Testing, Clark Seif Clark, Zimmetry Environmental, Indoor Environmental Consultants, Hudson Douglas Public Adjusters and Healthy Indoors Magazine to name just a few.
