The Coalition is pleased to announce that Johan Gallo has been appointed as the New Executive Director for the California Automotive Business Coalition in Sacramento California. This new appointment is effective immediately.

Gallo has an extensive background in the Automotive Repair Industry aftermarket with 42 years’ experience and has worked directly with the Automotive Business Coalition since it was formed as the Automotive Repair Coalition in 1992. He has held the positions of secretary, treasurer, vice president and president over the course of his relationship with the Coalition.

Gallo has worked with the Bureau of Automotive Repair directly since 1985 on compliance issues and has served on various committees that have dealt with rules, regulations and legislation and currently serves on the Bureau of Automotive Repairs Advisory Board that meets quarterly with key industry stake holders.

Gallo has worked closely on regulations and legislation that impacts the automotive repair industry aftermarket, consumers and vocational education. He has testified before the state Senate and Assembly on key legislation that impacts the repair industry. Gallo has served on various Department of Education Advisory Boards and the Perkins Committee in order to help promote the continuation of Vocational Education and Automotive Programs in the schools throughout the state.

The California Automotive Business Coalition (CalABC) is an alliance of members from various corners of the automotive service industry, who represent companies and organizations of all shapes and sizes.  Together they work with other stakeholders including those representing consumers, vendors, government agencies and the department of education in an effort to improve the industry and the customers they serve as well as promoting automotive vocational programs in the state.
