Over 200 food companies to congregate in Baku for WorldFood Azerbaijan

April 13, 2015 - PRLog -- Held for the 21st time this year, WorldFood Azerbaijan has established itself as the Caspian Region’s leading food industry event.

Over 200 companies will exhibit this year, including the Australian state of Victoria, who will be exhibiting for the first time. In addition, there will be a strong representation from the national groups of Argentina, Austria, Belarus and Lithuania, whose participation will equal 30% of the total number of exhibitors.

Emphasising the event’s international appeal,  food and beverage companies will exhibit from Bulgaria, Germany, India, Italy, Spain, Kazakhstan, Korea, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine, France, and the Czech Republic amongst other countries.

As well as being an important marketing tool for presenting new food products, WorldFood Azerbaijan is also a place to learn about the latest developments. Through its specialised exhibitions – WorldFood, WorldDrink and WorldFoodTech – WorldFood Azerbaijan covers the entire food industry. Stands will present meat, fish, tinned produce, groceries, dairy products, confectionery, ingredients, tea, frozen products and drinks.

Speaking about the economic climate in Azerbaijan, Andy Burman, Sales Manager, ITE Group, comments, “The Azerbaijan economy is currently focusing on  investing in the country’s non-oil sectors, this opens up opportunities for foreign investors. The country have been involved in intensive trade with Italy, Turkey, the UK, Indonesia, Germany, Israel, France, Japan and the U.S.A.”

Mr Burman continues, “In addition, Azerbaijan has announced that 2015 will be the ‘Year of Agriculture’, providing international processing and agricultural companies a chance to increase their exports to Azeri businesses. Ipack Caspian 2015, the international packaging, labelling and printing exhibition, will take place alongside WorldFood Azerbaijan, showcasing packaging production equipment, packaging materials, and finished packaging for the food industry.

Over 6,900 visitors are expected to attend WorldFood Azerbaijan 2015.
