Hilarious Stage Comedy Offers Helpful Relationship Advice

PHOENIX - April 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Written, produced and directed by Arizonan Iris Huey, The Love Thing is a laugh out loud stage play that offers a highly entertaining look at the many ups and downs men and women experience in their relationships.

The Love Thing is comprised of a series of skits, each dealing with a different but common relationship dilemma.  The show, which is crammed with comedy, also reinforces ideals like being authentic, communicating honestly, and responding with love.

“It’s been a dream of mine for some time to put on a show like this,” states Huey who also stars in the production. “I love writing about relationships and wanted to create a show that not only makes people laugh but also encourages people to have more loving relationships.”

The Love Thing premiered on September 13, 2014 at The Black Theatre Troupe in Phoenix, AZ and was remounted at Arizona State University’s Galvin Playhouse this past February.

Audiences have responded enthusiastically to the play.  “I laughed so much I cried,” said audience member Fatimah Halim, “It was well written, relevant and a great take on the absolute truth.”   Attendee Tony Simuel echoed her sentiments, “I hadn't laughed that hard in a long time.  [It was] very funny and with a great message behind it all.”
